Interactive workshop
What is a successful blog? How can I persuade more people to read my blog? How should I deal with comments? How do I get started?

I can't get away, alas, but Corfe is well worth a visit for its own sweet sake, so anyone wanting to go, I advise you to leave time to look around. Beautiful country and an excellent ruin [one that Cromwell knocked abaht a bit as the song says] and I believe there's still a model railway in the village somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI love Corfe Castle. I have set one of the scenes from the Georgian novel I am writing there. I think the castle is open until 4pm if anyone wanted to look round after the workshop.
DeleteI've walked cross country from Corfe to Swanage, which is fairly killing but an amazing experience because it's a trip through geologic time... I've used a fictional region near Corfe for the setting for a Renaissance murder mystery still in draft; then it was the seat of the Beaufort family, relatives of the Tudor monarchs through Henry VII's mother. Lud, now I want to go back to Corfe and spend more time...
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a good walk - must try it some time. Corfe Castle is a wonderful setting for any story. :)
DeleteThanks for a really useful workshop on blogging at Corfe on Friday. I'm not very computer savvy but this workshop was really well presented and gave me a really useful overview on the uses of blogging, how to improve your blogging profile, the interplay between social media and blogging and what constitutes a good blog. I really felt that you were giving us the benefit of your hard earned experience, so many thanks, Rachel. Jill Barr
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, Jill. I am very glad that you found the workshop helpful. Best wishes Rachel
